Besides bringing to QAFELA more than twenty years experience of work with various national and international organizations, Engineer Syed Javed Shah also possesses the expertise required for the role to Executive Director of the oraganisation.
As the Executive Director of QAFELA, Mr. Javed Shah is responsible for planning, organizing and supervising the organization’s programs and projects. He is responsible for the management of the projects implemented by QAFELA, community outreach, community mobilization, conflict resolution, community participation, coordination with the stake holders, partnership development, fund raising, proposal writing, project planning and designing and monitoring and evaluation of the projects for promotion of education, livelihood development and awareness in the region. He also oversees the implementation of consistent inventory and cost accounting policies, procedures and operational reporting/metrics and progress reports to the board of governers as well as to the donors of the projects implemented by the organisation.
Before joining QAFELA, Mr. Javed Shah held several positions in various organisations. He worked as Associate Engineer civil/ Managing Owner of Modern Engineering Consultant Pvt. Ltd in Madyan Swat.
He also worked as Assistant Project Officer at Islamic Relief-UK in Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Mr. Javed Shah also worked as Field Engineer at FATA Livelihood Development Project of USAID and FATA Secretariat in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He has also served as a Watsan Engineer in UNICEF, Swat Elementary Education Program (SEEP) in Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Engineer Javed Shah also worked as Assistant Engineer at Pakistan Village Development Program (PVDP) in Batagram, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and as Social Mobilizer at Dosti Development Foundation in District Mansehra of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan.
He also worked as Sub Engineer at IRC (International Rescue Committee) in District Shangla, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and as the Administrator of DRHP (Duaa Rural Health Point) in Madyan Swat. DRHP was a project of Duaa Welfare Organization Abbottabad.
