Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Malak Uddin, belongs to an influential family of Shahgram Valley in District Swat of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan.He is a graduate with military background. Hving urban as well as rural background, he has been living in Rawalpindi and has been working as Deputy Director Administration and Coordination in the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Islamabad.
Lt.Colonel Malakud Din has wide experience in command of staff, instructional field in military, security, intelligence, administration and coordination. He has commanded different military units including Civil Armed Forces. He has remained instructor in military schools of instruction.
Lt. Colonel (Rtd) Malakud Din possesses working knowledge of German Language and is the winner of a gold medal from Germany.
Lt. Colonel (Rtd) Malakud Din has vast experience in leadership, management and training. He possesses practical experience in the management of disasters like the earthquake in 2005 and the floods in Pakistan in 2010, 2020 and 2022.
Lt. Colonel (Rtd) Malakud Din possesses knowledge of the role and mission of NDMA, PDMA and different Government Departments working for the management of natural and man-made disasters. He is capable enough to handle the national and international media teams.
Having rural background with regular contacts in the place of his birth, Lt. Colonel (Rtd) Malakud Din knows the area and society and the culture adopted there. Therefore, he can identify problems facing the areas with their logical solutions.
Presently, Lt. Colonel (Rtd) Malakud Din is an active member of the Flood Rehabilitation Team of NUST. He has been supervising and monitoring the rehabilitation activities of NUST throughout the country. He is also the member of DRC Madyan Swat.
