Mr. Sajid Shah belongs to an influential family of Alpurai in District Shangla. His father was an employee in the forest department of the Govrrnment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. His family boosts to have political figures of District Shangla, doctors, education officers, divisional forest officers, employees in local government department of the Govt of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan Army.
Mr. Sajid Shah got his masters in Botany, Political Science and Education. He worked in elementary and secondary education department of khyber Pakhtunkhwa as headmaster and then as Assistant District Officer Education in Shangla for more than ten years, during which period, he formed a local NGO, MASHAAL an TB Assiciation Shangla, which he led and served the needy in the far-flung pockets of District Shangla.
Mr. Sajid Shah then resigned from his job in elementary and secondary education and joined Save the Children Sweden, an International NGO, which, at that time, was working for the relief, recovery and rehabilitation of the earthquake affected people of Pakistan. Mr. Sajid Shah was the focal person of the NGO for coordination. He worked in the field and also represented the NGO in meetings of various networks.
Mr. Sajid Shah is also having experience of work in Unicef, where he was Coordination Officer, GIZ, where he was Education Advisor and US AID, where he was Education Specialist.
Mr. Sajid Shah is also having experience in journalism. He is having hundreds of columns in newspapers of Urdu, Pashto and English to his credit.
Mr. Sajud Shh is the author of six books on general knowledge and history.
Mr. Sajid Shah is also having experience in education abroad. He has worked as Monitoring and Reporting Officer in Khalifa College, UAE.
Because of his experience and skills in education, project planning, fund raising, community mobilization, community outreach, project management, monitoring and evaluation and coordination, Mr. Sajid Shah is a valuable addition to the support group of QAFELA.
