QAFELA is a well-established NGO with a strong focus on social and economic development, ecological conservation, gender mainstreaming, and social protection in the backward areas of Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The organization was founded by experienced professionals who have worked with reputable national and international organizations. QAFELA has a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who are dedicated to community development, livelihoods, emergency response, conflict resolution, protection, human rights, and advocacy projects/programs. The organization is led by a highly experienced Chairman Board of Governors who is supported by a team of executives, program managers, sector specialists, regional program managers, MEAL manager, protection manager, and health coordinator. The NGO also owns a support group and a women Volunteer Network Forum (VNF) comprising experienced and expert women who work on a voluntary basis for the organization. QAFELA’s focus on empowering and enabling the poor, women, and people living in remote mountainous regions has enabled it to bring these marginalized groups to the grassroots level and into the mainstream of the development process.
